1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Visume AI (the "Service") operated by Visume AI ("we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account or using any feature of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

Visume AI is an AI-powered resume management and verification platform. The Service allows users to:

• Create, edit, and manage professional resumes using AI-assisted tools
• Import resume content from uploaded PDF or DOCX files via AI-based text extraction
• Verify resume claims against publicly available data from sources including GitHub and LinkedIn
• Generate shareable, publicly accessible resume pages with verification badges
• Export resumes to PDF and other formats

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

3. User Accounts

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated information in your resumes or account details
• Use the Service to create resumes for third parties without their explicit knowledge and consent
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the platform beyond normal use
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access controls or subscription restrictions
• Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations

5. AI Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses large language models (LLMs), including OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini, to assist with resume parsing, formatting, and content generation. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated suggestions and outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in professional or job application contexts
• AI-generated content does not constitute professional career, legal, or financial advice
• We make no guarantees about the accuracy, quality, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated output

6. Verification & Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Visume AI's verification feature compares resume information against publicly available external data sources. You understand and agree that:

• Verification results are informational and not legally binding assessments of your credentials
• We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of information retrieved from external sources such as GitHub or LinkedIn
• A verification score is based on publicly available data at a point in time and may not reflect your full professional history
• Verification results should not be used as the sole basis for any employment, hiring, or credential-related decision
• You are responsible for ensuring that any information on your resume is truthful and accurate regardless of verification outcomes

7. Subscription & Billing

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selected plan
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize Stripe to charge the applicable fees
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable law
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable prior notice to existing subscribers

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, design, and functionality are owned by Visume AI and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all ownership rights to the resume content you create and upload. By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or its underlying software without our prior written consent.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, third parties, or the Service.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion option in your settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Visume AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated content or verification results
• Service interruptions or unavailability
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the platform or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Visume AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
• Any content you submit that is false, misleading, or otherwise harmful

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or a prominent banner within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.
